General Asim Munir Pays Powerful Tribute to Martyrs & Ghazis
A grand ceremony was held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi, where Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), awarded military awards to officers and soldiers who have rendered distinguished services and performed courageously for the country and nation.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior military officers, families of soldiers and families of martyrs.
During the ceremony, other awards, including Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Bisala, were given to the martyrs, and their families proudly received the awards given to them.
On this occasion, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis and said that martyrs and ghazis are our national identity and pride, their respect and honor are the duty of every Pakistani.
The peace and freedom we enjoy today are due to the eternal sacrifices of these brave sons.
General Syed Asim Munir paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the families of the martyrs and said that their spirit is a shining example of love for the country.
Appreciating the commitment and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in counter-terrorism operations, the Army Chief said that the security forces have thwarted several terrorist threats and ensured the elimination of key terrorists through their tireless efforts.
