Gas Leakage Explosion In Quetta: One Woman Killed, Eight Severely Burned

QUETTA — A powerful explosion caused by a gas leak rocked a house in Bhosa Mandi Bypass area of Quetta, killing one woman and leaving eight others severely injured.

According to rescue officials, the incident occurred when accumulated gas inside the house ignited, resulting in a massive explosion that damaged the entire structure. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and moved the injured to the burn ward of Civil Hospital Quetta for emergency treatment.

Dr. Manzoor, in charge of the burn ward, stated that all eight victims sustained 90 to 99 percent burns and are in critical condition. The hospital administration has declared an emergency, while rescue teams and police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

Eyewitnesses reported that the blast was so loud it was heard several kilometers away, shattering windows of nearby houses. Police have registered a case and initiated further inquiry into the tragic incident.
