Fully Funded Emile Boutmy Scholarship 2025-2026 at Sciences Po, France

Sciences Po in France is offering the fully funded Emile Boutmy Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year, available to international students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, and PhD degrees. This prestigious scholarship provides up to €19,000 annually, depending on the student’s study level and financial needs. Applicants can choose from a variety of academic disciplines offered at the university.

Eligibility for the undergraduate programme requires students to have a Baccalauréat or its international equivalent. Sciences Po also offers various two-year master’s programmes with professional specialisations. The undergraduate programme duration ranges from 3-6 years, while master’s programmes last 1.5-2 years. The application deadline for master’s programmes is December 3, 2024, and February 22, 2025, for undergraduate programmes.

Undergraduate Scholarship Benefits: Recipients can receive a tuition grant of €7,300 per year for the entire three-year undergraduate programme, plus an additional €5,000 annually for living expenses. In exceptional cases, scholarships covering up to €19,000 for three years may be awarded. The amount is determined by the admissions panel. However, failing to pass an academic year or deferring admission will result in the loss of the scholarship.

Master’s Scholarship Benefits: For master’s students, the scholarship provides either:

  • A grant of €10,000 per year to cover full tuition for two years.
  • A grant of €5,000 per year for the two-year duration.

As with the undergraduate scholarship, failure to complete an academic year or deferring admission results in scholarship forfeiture.

Ineligibility Criteria: The scholarship is not available to:

  • Swiss and Norwegian applicants (eligible for CROUS scholarships).
  • Dual citizenship holders with EU citizenship.
  • Quebec master’s applicants, who benefit from sliding scale fees but remain eligible for the undergraduate programme.
  • Dual degree master’s candidates, except specific programmes (e.g., Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University).
  • PhD candidates.
  • One-year master’s applicants.
  • Bachelor’s dual-degree candidates, unless under specific agreements.
  • Exchange students.
  • Applicants through the French graduate admission process.

Candidates cannot apply for both the CSC joint scholarship and the Emile Boutmy Scholarship simultaneously.

Application Process: To apply, students must indicate their intent in the “Financial Information” section of their Sciences Po application. Supporting documents such as parental income tax returns, payslips, divorce or death certificates, and other relevant financial documentation may be required. Applicants must submit language test results (if needed) before the scholarship deadline.
