Free Treatment and Medicines Provided in Remote Kohlu Region

Kohlu: On the special instructions of Colonel Farooq Ashraf, Commandant of Maiwand Brigade, Frontier Corps (FC) North, organized a one-day free medical camp in the remote and underdeveloped area of Thremen, district Kohlu.

The initiative aimed to provide basic healthcare facilities at the doorstep of residents who are deprived of medical services due to difficult terrain and a lack of resources.

Dr. Ali Leads FC Medical Team, Treats Over 250 Patients Free of Cost

A senior FC medical officer, Dr. Ali, along with an experienced medical team, examined patients throughout the day with dedication and public spirit. More than 250 men, women, and children were treated free of cost, and patients were provided with free medicines, along with tests for blood pressure, sugar, malaria, hemoglobin, and other basic diagnostics.

A separate section was arranged for women. The camp was supervised by Colonel Salman Khalid of the 76 Wing, who reviewed the arrangements and appreciated the performance of the medical team. He said that FC Balochistan North is committed to serving the people, not only in maintaining law and order but also in contributing to public welfare, health, and education.

Local elders and a large number of residents attended the camp and praised FC North and Maiwand Brigade for this welfare initiative, calling it a shining example of public service. They said that such free medical camps strengthen trust and brotherhood between the people and the forces. Locals also demanded that FC Balochistan continue organizing similar medical camps in other rural and mountainous regions to ensure wider access to healthcare facilities.
