Today, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House. The Prime Minister welcomed the Qatari Minister and his delegation and expressed Pakistan’s strong commitment to maintaining its historical, friendly, and brotherly relations with Qatar.
Both nations have always supported each other, and Pakistan aims to transform its excellent relationship with Qatar into a mutually beneficial and strong economic partnership. In this regard, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for both countries to collaborate in all areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade and investment.
He also urged Qatar to expand its investment portfolio in priority sectors in Pakistan with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to ensure coordination. The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to the Emir of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Muhammad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Jassim Al Thani. The Qatari Minister of State expressed his deep interest in further strengthening the bilateral relations between Qatar and Pakistan and investing in Pakistan. It is important to note that the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs is on a one-day visit to Pakistan as the special envoy of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar.
