The security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Karam district on the information of the presence of Khawarij and killed 7 Khawarij while 5 Khawarij were also injured.
According to the statement issued by ISPR, during the operation, the security forces searched the whereabouts of Khawarij effectively, during which seven Khawarij members of Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed and five of them were injured.
According to ISPR, the hideout of Khawarij was also destroyed and a huge amount of arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered.
The slain Khawarij were active in several terrorist acts against security forces as well as innocent civilians.
A spokesperson of the Pakistan Army says that the sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other outsiders found in the area, as Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
