Balochistan Police Recruited first Transgender Constable

The first eunuch in Balochistan began her career as a constable. Abe Shah Bisharat, a graduate of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEM), has been recruited at Balochistan Police as constable.

The trailblazing eunuch breaks barriers, Abbe Bisharat, has been affiliated with various non-governmental organizations for several years, where she has been working tirelessly to advocate for the rights of transgender individuals in society.

She explained that when the Inspector General of Police became aware of her, they offered her a position in the police force, which was a significant step forward.

Talking to media she said “while serving in the police force, she could better assist transgender individuals”. After fulfilling all the legal requirements, she was recruited.

She further mentioned that the Balochistan Police provides a better working environment for transgender individuals and is highly esteemed. Consequently, more transgender individuals have expressed their desire to join the Balochistan Police. Abbe Shah Bisharat stated that after assuming her position, she will endeavor to address the challenges faced by the transgender community..
