Flight Operation Resumed at Peshawar Airport

At Bacha Khan International Airport, flight operations started up again on Friday morning. The report states that an airplane accident yesterday resulted in the closure of the Peshawar airport.

According to a preliminary assessment issued by Saudi Airlines, the disaster happened as a result of a fire that started in the aircraft tire of a private airline while landing. Professionals carried out an examination and wrote the report.

Private plane flight 792, carrying 21 crew members and 272 passengers, was involved in the event. A Saudi Airline aircraft caught fire yesterday while it was making a landing at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar.

The fire began in the back end of airplane SV-792, which was traveling from Riyadh to Peshawar. As the airplane descended, the landing gear caught fire. Using the plane’s emergency exits, every passenger was safely evacuated.

Via an inflatable slide, the 276 passengers and 21 crew members left the aircraft. Due to the Saudi plane’s proximity to the runway, Peshawar Airport was closed to aircraft. According to sources, by Friday morning the runway will be cleared, and by 10:00 am the airport will reopen for operations.

After a Saudia (SV) aircraft caught fire upon landing at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW), officials decided to close the airport till 11:00 on July 12. The aircraft’s 276 occupants and 21 crew members were all safely removed. According to early indications, the aircraft’s landing gear may have caught fire. We still don’t know what caused the accident.

There have been changes made to the airports for international flights. Affected flights include those operated by Saudia, Gulf Air (GF), Fly Jinnah (F9), Pakistan International Airlines (PK), and SereneAir (ER). During the closure, there may be rescheduling, delays, and cancellations of both domestic and international flights. After the airport reopens, residual interruptions can occur while airlines try to get rid of backlogs of passengers.
