FJMU Launches Capacity-Building Program in Collaboration with HEC

The Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU), Lahore, inaugurated its capacity-building program for university management in partnership with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under HEC, attended as the Chief Guest, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal served as the Patron-in-Chief.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal warmly welcomed Dr. Noor Amna Malik, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong process beginning at birth and continuing throughout life. He noted that such training initiatives significantly enhance institutional performance. He expressed gratitude to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of HEC, and Dr. Noor Amna Malik for including FJMU in these training programs.

Dr. Noor Amna Malik praised the occasion, stating it was an honor to join the opening ceremony. Addressing attendees, she encouraged them to share the knowledge gained with peers and seize every opportunity in life. She commended Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal’s visionary leadership and his significant contributions to medical education. Dr. Malik also applauded FJMU’s faculty for representing the university globally, especially in the UK, under Prof. Gondal’s leadership.

NAHE conducts capacity-building initiatives for the faculty and staff of Pakistan’s Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), focusing on Faculty Development, Research Management, Academic Management, Leadership, and Financial Management.

The event saw the presence of Principal Prof. Abdul Hameed, Dean Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Prof. Aliya Zahid, Dr. Taskeen Zahra, Focal Person Dr. Uzma Iqbal, other faculty members, and a large audience. Prof. Ashfaq Ahmad from Punjab University participated as the Chief Facilitator.

To commemorate the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal presented an honorary shield to Dr. Noor Amna Malik.
