Five Dead As Two Bugti Groups Trade Gunfire In Karachi

An armed clash has taken place between two groups of the Bugti tribe belonging to Balochistan in the posh area of ​​Karachi in Sindh province.

According to the police, at least 5 people have been killed and 2 injured in this incident of firing.

According to police officials, Fahad Bugti, nephew of Nawab Akbar Bugti and son of former member of Balochistan Assembly Mir Ahmad Nawaz Bugti, is also among the dead.

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu told Urdu News that an armed clash took place between two groups belonging to the Bugti tribe of Balochistan in Defense Khayaban Nishat, a posh area of ​​Karachi, on the night of July 25 and 26.

He said that the cause of the clash has not been revealed yet, but preliminary investigations have shown that the two groups had been at loggerheads for some time.

He further informed that 5 people were killed and 2 injured in the incident. After the incident, the police detained more than 10 people while taking action in different areas of Karachi.

According to the hospital administration, those killed in the firing incident in Defense have been identified as Mir Maysam Bugti, Mir Isa Bugti, Ali, Fahad Bugti, and Naseebullah. At the same time, Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali were shifted to the hospital with injuries.

Provincial Interior Minister Sindh Zia Linjar has called for the report of the incident in Karachi from the Additional IG Karachi.

Speaking to the media, Zia Linjar said that there will be no compromise on the law and order situation in the province, and strict action will be taken against whoever takes the law into his hands.

He further said that those killed and injured in the defense incident were from the clan of Nawab Akbar Bugti, the clash took place between the groups of Nawab Akbar Bugti’s nephew and nephew.
