Firing in Kohat, two policemen martyred
According to details, unknown persons opened fire near the Tanda Dam area of Kohat, killing ASI Mustafa and officer Zahid. The attackers managed to escape after the incident.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The bodies of the slain officers were shifted to the DA Hospital Kohat.
District Police Officer (DPO) Zahidullah Khan said that the investigation into the incident is underway. Whether the reason for the murder is terrorism or personal enmity, it is too early to say anything in this regard.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, taking notice of the target killing of policemen in Kohat, has directed Additional IG CTD to form special investigation teams.
IG Police said that cowardly acts cannot demoralize the police force.
He vowed that the blood of police personnel would not go in vain and the operation against terrorists would continue until the last terrorist was eliminated.
