Federal Offices to Follow New Ramadan Timings

Islamabad: The working hours of government institutions, educational institutions and courts under the federal government have been announced for Ramadan.

Separate notifications were issued by the Establishment Division, the Federal Directorate of Education and the Judiciary.

Working hours of government offices
According to the notification of the Establishment Division:

Offices working five days a week will remain open from 9 am to 3 pm.
Offices working six days a week will operate from 9 am to 2 pm.
On Friday, the working hours of all government offices will be from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

Working hours of federal educational institutions
The Federal Directorate of Education has also issued new working hours for educational institutions:

Classes will be held in single-shift schools from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 12:30 pm, while teaching will continue on Friday from 8 am to 12 pm.
Double shift schools will have classes from 8 am to 12 pm from Monday to Friday.
Evening shift schools will have classes from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Friday.

Court working hours
New court hours have also been issued for the Islamabad High Court and Sessions Courts:

Cases will be heard in the Islamabad High Court from 9:30 am to 11:30 am from Monday to Thursday, after which there will be a half-hour break.
Division bench hearings will continue from 12 pm to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday.
Hearings in the High Court on Friday will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, while there will be no hearing on Saturday, the judges will only write judgments.

Islamabad Sessions Courts will remain open from 9 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Saturday, while court proceedings will be held from 9 am to 12:30 pm on Friday.
These working hours will be effective during the holy month of Ramadan, after which the normal schedule will be followed.
