Fakhar Zaman Ruled Out of Champions Trophy

Star opener Fakhar Zaman, who suffered an injury against New Zealand in the first match of the Champions Trophy, has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy, while the PCB has started considering his replacement.

Pakistan’s star opener Fakhar Zaman suffered an injury in his ribs while fielding in the first over of the match against New Zealand and left the field

However, he returned to the game after some time, but the PCB said that his future would be informed the next day.

However, according to the PCB, Fakhar Zaman’s injury is serious and now it has been decided that Fakhar Zaman has been officially ruled out of the Champions Trophy

And he is not leaving with the team for the match against India, but has been asked to report to the Lahore High Performance Center.

After this confirmation, the PCB has contacted the ICC Technical Committee for a replacement player.

It should be noted that the Technical Committee, after reviewing the reports of the injured player, confirms whether he is fit or unfit and only then is permission given to include the replacement player.

It is being told that the PCB has sent all the reports of Fakhar Zaman to the ICC Technical Committee and the committee will respond after reviewing it.

The PCB says that Fakhar Zaman’s replacement players are being considered, but Imam-ul-Haq’s inclusion is a strong possibility.

This is the second big shock for Pakistan as Saim Ayub was injured while fielding in South Africa in January.

Initially, it was thought that he would be fit before the Champions Trophy, but later he was advised to take a long rest.

Fakhar Zaman fell while chasing a shot from New Zealand opener Will Young, after which he felt pain in the left side of his body.

Fakhar Zaman was taken off the field after the injury, while Kamran Ghulam took his place. The PCB said that doctors are examining Fakhar Zaman for a sprained ankle and more details about him will be announced soon.

I-mam-ul-Haq’s inclusion in Pakistan squad, ICC Technical Committee approves

Lahore: The ICC Event Technical Committee has approved the inclusion of national team opener Imam-ul-Haq in the squad in place of Fakhar Zaman.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had requested to send a replacement player after Fakhar Zaman was injured, on the ICC Technical Committee after consideration allowed Imam-ul-Haq to be included in the team.

The Event Technical Committee includes Wasim Khan, Usman Wahlah, Sarah Edgar, and Sean Pollock, who took this decision after reviewing the medical reports.

Fakhar Zaman was injured in the first match against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy, after which he was dropped from the squad. Now Imam-ul-Haq will be part of the team for the remaining matches of Pakistan.

This change is considered important for the Pakistan cricket team because Imam-ul-Haq is an experienced batsman and can perform well in big matches.
