Fake Rs20,000 Ehsaas Rashan Scheme 2025 Link Circulating Online – Here’s the Truth

A fraudulent link is circulating online, claiming that individuals in Pakistan can receive Rs20,000 instantly under the Ehsaas Rashan Program 2025. The link encourages users to provide personal information to qualify for financial aid. This claim is false.

The Claim

A Facebook post dated March 6 shared a suspicious link — https://rashan.bh59.buzz/?xt=821 — targeting low-income individuals (earning less than Rs30,000/month). The post claimed that over 960,000 people would be given Rs20,000 under the Ehsaas Rashan Program 2025 after registration.

The same message has since spread widely on Facebook, WhatsApp, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.

The Fact

Experts in digital security have confirmed that the link is fake and not connected to any official government program.

Anees Qureshi, an open-source intelligence analyst from Bytes for All (B4A), noted that the .buzz domain used in the link is commonly associated with phishing and online scams. These websites are known for mimicking official platforms to trick users into sharing personal information.

Geo Fact Check also tested the form on the website. After submitting test information, users were redirected to a page instructing them to share the link with 15 people to proceed — a classic tactic used by scammers to multiply their reach.

Asif Iqbal, a digital adviser at GIZ, added that suspicious links like this often lead to identity theft or misuse of personal data. He emphasized that legitimate government schemes use .gov.pk domains and never ask users to share posts to qualify.

The Real Ehsaas Rashan Program

The original Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program was introduced in 2021 to provide food subsidies to low-income families. There is currently no official announcement of a Rs20,000 cash handout under the program for 2025.

Verdict

The claim is false. The website in question is not affiliated with the government. Citizens are advised to avoid interacting with or sharing such links and should only rely on official platforms for updates on social welfare programs.
