Explosion in Turbat: 4 Killed, 32 Injured

Pakistan‘s Balochistan provincial government spokesman Shahid Rind has said that an investigation is underway into the bomb blast that took place in the Turbat area yesterday. The blast took place in the New Bahman area, 8 kilometers from Turbat city yesterday.

In a statement issued last night, the Balochistan government spokesman said that four people who were killed have been identified, including Noor Khan, Abdul Wahab, Ijaz, and Liaquat Ali.

According to the statement, Noor Khan is from the Dasht area of the ​​​​Kech district of Balochistan, Abdul Wahab is from Gwadar, Ijaz is from the Gishgur area of the ​​​​Awaran district and Liaquat Ali is from the Sohbatpur district.

According to the spokesman, the injured in the blast are being provided with better medical care.

Dr. Ahmed Baloch, Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital Turbat, told the BBC over the phone that 11 injured in the blast were shifted to the hospital for medical care.

The District Headquarters Hospital in Turbat is the only hospital where the injured are provided medical assistance in such incidents, while the bodies of the dead are shifted for postmortem.

Dr. Ahmed Baloch said that no body of anyone killed in the bomb blast was brought to the hospital. He said that only 11 injured people in the blast were shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

He said that the injured included SSP Serious Crimes Investigation Wing Quetta Zohaib Mohsin, his brother, four children, and the driver.

According to the hospital’s MS, the injured suffered minor injuries due to the blast. He said that these people were provided medical assistance in the hospital.

It should be noted that the injured security forces personnel injured in bomb blasts are provided medical assistance or the bodies of the killed personnel are shifted to their hospitals.

A senior official from Makran Division said on condition of anonymity that it was a suicide attack.
