Saif ul Mulook Lake

The Lake of Fairies, also called Saif ul Mulook, is a lake next to Naran in District Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at the northern end of Kaghan Valley. It is the most gorgeous and stunning lake that attracts travelers around the globe. The renowned mountain Malika e Parbat, which encircles it, adds even more beauty to it.

Visitors can also enjoy camping and boating here. When you camp under a full moon and take in the sight of the moon and billions of stars, you can find inner calm.  Saif ul Malook Lake is best visited between June and September. The lake freezes over completely in the winter.

Lake Ansoo

Adventure seekers and daring travelers should definitely check out this gorgeous lake. This lake is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra District. The term “ansoo” in Urdu means “tear.” The name “Ansoo Jheel” comes from the teardrop-shaped Ansoo Lake. 

Saif ul Malook Lake is within a short, steep hike away from Ansoo Lake. From Saif ul Malook Lake, it takes approximately twelve hours to go to Ansoo Lake. The locals oppose camping here, despite the fact that many adventure-seeking tourists do. They claim that this area’s weather is incredibly unpredictable, which can lead to serious issues for campers.

Lake Lulusar

Kunhar River runs from Naran and Kaghan and merges into the Jehlum River. Lulusar Lake serves as the Kunhar River’s primary source. It is easily accessible by car and situated in the stunning Kaghan Valley.

Chitta Katha Lake

Chitta Katha Lake is located in the Shounter Valley in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Chitta Katha means “White Stream” and this name is given by the locals. If you are visiting Kashmir, then Chitta Katha Lake should be on your priority list because it boasts heart-stopping scenery that stuns you.

Shandur Lake

Shandur is a famous place where Polo Festival is organized every year. Shandur Polo Ground is the highest Polo ground on Earth i.e. 3,700 meters and tourists from all over the world come and see this festival. 

Another reason to visit Shandur is the Shandur Lake. Shandur Lake is located in Gilgit-Baltistan and is approximately a kilometer away from Shandur Polo Ground. The lake is in the high mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan and offers superb sightseeing. The top of this lake is flat and plateau and for this reason, it is known as, “The roof of the World”.

Satpara Lake

Satpara Lake is located in Gilgit-Baltistan and it gives water to the Skardu Valley. It is located at an elevation of around 2636 meters. The main source for the water of the lake is the melting of ice from the Deosai Plains. Additionally, it’s Pakistan’s biggest freshwater lake. 

If you wish to visit this lake, then plan your journey in summer as the roads leading to Satpara lake are closed in winter.

Lake Dudipatsar

The Kaghan Valley’s Dudipatsar Lake is a hidden gem. The name “Dudipatsar” means “White Mountain Lake” which is due to the snow-capped mountains that have encircled the lake. The lake is only accessible on foot as no road leads to this lake. You have to travel about 15 kilometers to see the grandeur and glamour of Dudipatsar Lake.

Rapid Lake

Rush Lake is Pakistan’s highest lake at more than 15,000 feet above sea level. It is located in the Nagar Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan. Rush Lake may only be accessible by walking through Nagar and Hopar or via a journey through Hopar Glacier and Miar Glacier. The journey to the objective could be challenging but the outcome you are going to obtain at the conclusion of the walk is merely inexplicable in words. Attabad Lake

Attabad Lake lies in the Gojal Town of Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. This lake was formed as the result of a large landslide that obstructed the flow of the Hunza River in 2010. It damaged some communities and twenty individuals were killed owing to this tragedy. About 6000 people were displaced, but now this lake is the primary tourist attraction in Hunza valley.

Ratti Gali Lake

Kashmir is also known as “Jannat Nazeer Waadi”. Here ‘Jannat’ signifies Paradise, and ‘Waadi’ is the Urdu word for Valley. So, Kashmir is a paradise valley and it has many breathtaking sites that one must see. In Neelum Valley, there lies Ratti Gali Lake which is quite famous due to its captivating beauty and vegetation around.  The beauty of this lake has inspired numerous writers and they have written many things on its beauty. 

Sheosar Lake

Sheosar Lake is located in the picturesque Deosai National Park i.e. one of the world’s tallest and magnificent plateau. It sits at the elevation of 4,142 meters.  The magnificence of this lake shall be witnessed by one who’s visiting it. It is absolutely fantastic and lovely. 

The greatest time to visit this lake is in the spring season when the wildflowers grow and gives you the magnificent and sightly view that one forgets the rush and bustle of the outer world. The lake is 130 feet deep surrounded by stunning snow-covered mountains.

Lower Kachura Lake

Lower Kachura Lake, currently well known as Shangrila lake, is situated in Kachura Village in Skardu City. Its name changed in 1983 when the Shangrila resort was established on its bank. This lake offers diverse water sports like boating etc. and it attracts thousands of tourists locally and throughout the globe every year. 

Tourists stay in the Shangrila resort and enjoy the wonderful environment with vegetation and the snow-capped mountains. This site is also extremely ideal to capture your memories in the camera roll.

Upper Kachura Lake

Upper Kachura Lake is not explored like the Lower Kachura Lake due to its challenging walk. It is located in Skardu and is surrounded by wild apricot gardens. It has a depth of 70 meters. With the crystal clear water of the lake, it provides magnificent sceneries that freshen one’s thoughts. The winter season here freezes everything including the water of the lake.

Mahodand Lake

Situated approximately 35 kilometers from Kalam is the picturesque Ushu Valley, home to the alluring Mahodand Lake. “The lake of fishes” is how Mahodand Lake is known. When you get there, you can go fishing, boating, and camping. The best time to visit this gorgeous and splendid lake is in summer when the alpine flowers bloom in the neighboring meadows and you can enjoy a great variety of fish too.

Lake Swaik

Swaik Lake is one of the new destinations that Pakistanis are still finding to enjoy and spend their holidays. The distance between Khandoa Village and Swaik Lake is 45 minutes, starting at the Kalar Kahar Interchange. The lake contains blue-green water with a magnificent waterfall also. People have picnics here with their families. Here, you can go cliff diving and swimming, but make sure you’re wearing a life jacket.

Karambar Lake

Karambar Lake is located in Ishkoman Valley, Gilgit Baltistan and it is the 2nd highest in the country and 33rd highest lake in the globe. It has an altitude of 14,121 feet and 171 feet depth. Travelers are enthralled with the sensual vistas that the lake’s breathtaking beauty offers. Adventure seekers come here annually to take in this lake’s breathtaking splendor.

Lake Naltar

Three stunning lakes can be found in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Naltar Valley. These lakes, which range in elevation from 3,050 to 3,150 meters, are also referred to as the Bashkiri Lakes. Each of the three lakes offers a unique feature. Travelers are encouraged to explore all of the Lakes because of their various attractions. Because of the grass in the water, one of the lakes has green water, while the other has blue water. The best one, in my opinion, is the last one with the azure water.

Lake Rama

Rama Lake is surrounded by some oak trees and other vegetation and is located in Gilgit-Baltistan’s stunning Astore Valley. The Rama Valley is more beautiful because of its dense pine, juniper, and cedar forests.

Rainbow Lake

Rainbow Lake is situated in Azad Kashmir’s Minimarg, Neelum District of Pakistan. Known as the hiker’s paradise, Minimarg is a stunning and serene location. Because there isn’t any tourist activity, Rainbow Lake is only a place for those who value solitude and tranquility. Aside from those who are brave enough to accept the challenge, visit Rainbow Lake to appreciate its splendor.

Lake Kundol

The Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, home of Kundol Lake, is a tourist haven in Pakistan. The name and location of Kundol Lake are not well known, so not many tourists visit it. The route getting to the lake is a little bit difficult but the picturesque vistas and the cool breeze with snow-capped mountains help you forget the effort that you encountered.

Lake Banjosa

Banjosa Lake is located in Azad Kashmir’s Rawlakot District Poonch in Pakistan. This man-made lake draws visitors from all over the world. There are resorts there where visitors can spend their holidays. The main draw for visitors seeking to escape the sweltering heat of their home regions is the summer’s mild temperature. Banjosa Lake’s natural beauty is enhanced and rendered appealing and engaging by the surrounding mountains and pine trees.
