Expected Rain in Pakistan Regions Next 24 Hours

Some parts of country are expected to be gripped by cold wave as a new spell of rains, forecasts weatherman

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast light rain in a few parts of the country during the next 24 hours, however, prolonged dry winter will continue in most parts.

Some parts of the country are expected to be gripped by a cold wave as a new spell of rain is predicted in southern areas, according to the PMD.

Dry and cold climate will keep on winning during this week and there are no possibilities of critical downpour before very long, PMD Chief Estimating Irfan Virk told the state news organization, adding there are chances of light downpour in a couple of parts of Balochistan during the following 24 hours.

The fog patches going from typical to thick will go on in the plain region of the nation till the following precipitation, he added.

He said that thick fog is probably going to go on over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, and Islamabad during this week thusly residents are encouraged to be wary.

As per the PMD everyday forecast, principally cold and dry weather conditions is normal in many pieces of the country during the following 24 hours, where, freezing weather conditions is normal in northern parts and north Balochistan.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave was present over western Balochistan.

Thick fog and smog are probably going to persevere in Islamabad, Punjab, upper Sindh, and plain areas of KP.

Nonetheless, showering is reasonable at separated places in southwestern Balochistan and beach front areas of Makran.

During the most recent 24 hours, cold and dry weather conditions beat most pieces of the country, while freezing in northern regions and northern Balochistan.

Thick fog/smog beat plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, and Islamabad, while downpour happened in Dalbandin 08mm.

The most minimal temperatures recorded were Leh – 11 C, Skardu – 09, Gilgit, Gupis – 06, Astore, Kalam, Kalat, and Srinagar – 05 C.
