Eid-ul-Fitr to Shine on March 31, 2025: Ruet-e-Hilal Announces
Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council Secretary General Khalid Ijaz Mufti has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 31, 2025 after 29 days of fasting.
He further said that on the evening of Sunday, March 30, 2025, if the weather is clear in different parts of Pakistan, the moon sighting committee will easily be possible, however, the final decision will be taken by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
According to Khalid Ijaz Mufti, the new moon will be born on March 29, 2025 at 3:58 PM Pakistan Time,
And by the time of sunset on the evening of 29 Ramadan, i.e. March 30, 2025, the moon will have been more than 26 hours old,
which is suitable for Ruet-e-Hilal. In addition, the difference between sunset and moonset should be at least 40 minutes, which will happen in different cities of Pakistan.
Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays: March 30 to April 1
The Government of Pakistan has announced 3 holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, according to which the public will get Eid holidays on March 30, 31 and April 1, 2025.
In addition, Eid-ul-Adha holidays will also be from June 7 to 9, 2025.
