Education Department Unveils a New Ex-Pakistani Teacher Leave Policy

The Higher Education Department has released a new policy governing teachers‘ leave from Pakistan. Under this policy, teachers wishing to take study leave must furnish a surety bond worth Rs. 2.5 million.

Teachers and staff have received a notification from the Department of Higher Education regarding the new policy. Additionally, the department has requested details for all existing cases involving ex-Pakistani leave.The notice went on to say that all candidates on leave must submit a surety bond. Specifically, candidates for study leave need to provide a surety bond worth Rs. 2.5 million.

In addition, an instructor or worker who takes a study leave and later decides not to complete their degree is required to return the money they were paid for that period of time. Nonetheless, the provincial government of Punjab has decided to appoint thousands of new teachers in the coming weeks. Sikandar Hayat, the provincial minister of education, has been given instructions by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to oversee the hiring procedure.

The new regulation requires teachers to provide a Rs. 2.5 million surety bond in order to take study leave. Teachers and staff have been notified of new policies by the Department of Higher Education.

Details on every instance of leave from Pakistan have also been requested by the Higher Education Department. Notification states that a surety bond must be submitted by every candidate taking a leave of absence. To apply for a study leave, one must present a surety bond worth Rs 2.5 million.

The notification wording said that the pay earned during the study break must be reimbursed if the instructor or employee does not finish their degree. Furthermore, a teacher or employee who takes a study leave and then decides not to finish their degree must refund the money they were paid for that time.

However, the Punjab provincial administration has made the decision to hire thousands of new teachers in the upcoming weeks. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed Provincial Minister of Education Sikandar Hayat to supervise the hiring process.
