Ease Of Doing Business And Boosting Investment Is The Government’s Top Priority: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today chaired the first review meeting of the private sector committee on national industrial development in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Jam Kamal Khan, Ahad Khan Cheema, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister Muhammad Ali, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiani, Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar, and Saqib Shirazi, along with industrialists from the working group.

During the meeting, the private sector presented recommendations aimed at boosting industrial growth, facilitating ease of doing business, increasing investment, and generating employment opportunities. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the proposals and directed that they be incorporated into the national policy framework.

The Prime Minister emphasized that national economic growth, job creation, and income enhancement are not possible without industrial development. He added that measures to ease business operations and attract investment remain a top government priority, and the private sector’s suggestions hold critical importance.

He also lauded the Pakistani business community for supporting government policies during challenging times and aiding the country in overcoming economic crises. The Prime Minister stressed that a detailed review of the proposals would be conducted to develop an actionable implementation plan. He noted that while the country’s economic direction is improving, continued effort and dedication are required for sustained progress.
