Islamabad: Earthquake tremors were felt in various cities of the country including Islamabad.
Severe earthquake tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Malakund, and other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the authorities, the intensity of the earthquake has been recorded at 5.4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was also felt in Rawalpindi.
Earthquake tremors were felt in Haripur, Swat, Mardan and Mansara.
The epicenter of the earthquake was the border region of Afghanistan and Tajikistan and the depth was 215 km.
Due to the intensity of the earthquake, fear and panic spread and citizens came out of their houses and Afas chanting the word of Tabiyyah.
So far no loss of life or property has been reported from the earthquake.
