Danish University to Operate with Full Autonomy
On the directions of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shahbaz Sharif, an important meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar regarding the legal framework of Danish University.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other high officials.
The Law Minister clarified during the meeting that Danish University will be an autonomous institution, which will be managed on a non-governmental basis.
He emphasized that the legal structure of the university will be developed on modern lines so that it is in line with the standards of the best universities in the world.
The meeting also discussed the establishment of the university’s endowment fund, which aims to provide quality and world-class education to talented students facing financial difficulties.
The Law Minister said that successful educational models from around the world are being reviewed for the establishment of this educational institution, so that it can be made an international standard institution.
During the meeting, the participants agreed that the Danish University will focus on research, development, and applied sciences. In this regard, a comprehensive legal framework is being created, which will provide an ideal educational environment for future students.
The Law Minister said that the framework will be finalized as soon as possible, taking into account all legal and administrative aspects so that the project can be implemented.
