Court Martial Against Ex-ISI Chief Faiz Hameed Has Started: ISPR DG

Rawalpindi: DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that action will be taken against whoever is involved in the Faiz Hameed case, regardless of position or status.

While giving a press conference at GHQ, DG ISPR said that 32,173 intelligence-based operations were conducted against terrorists and facilitators in 8 months.

In the last month, 90 Khawarij were sent to hell during the operations, 193 brave officers and soldiers were martyred in 8 months, and the whole nation pays tribute to them.

There is no area where terrorists are active, DG ISPR
DG ISPR said that on the night of August 25 and 26, acts of terrorism were carried out in Balochistan.

Security forces killed 21 terrorists in Balochistan, the perpetrators of terrorism have nothing to do with Islam or Balochistan.

I want to give a clear message to the terrorists and their facilitators that the perpetrators and perpetrators of terrorism in Balochistan will be dealt with with iron hands.

In response to a question, he said that we know that there is a feeling of deprivation and state oppression in Balochistan.

There, narratives of deprivation and oppression are created, but the federal government is giving 520 billion to Balochistan.

The provincial government takes 254 billion rupees as royalty while the people of Balochistan own 80 percent of the mineral project.

DG ISPR said that the Pakistan Army is neither against any party nor has any political agenda. If someone in the army promotes a specific political agenda for personal gain, then the system of self-accountability would be activated. And in the light of the evidence, those responsible have to be held accountable.

While talking about the Field General Court Martial of Lieutenant General Retired Faiz Hameed, he said that the application against General (R) Faiz in the Top City case was received by the Ministry of Defence.

On August 12, the army informed that the retired officer had violated the Army Act and even after his retirement, several incidents of violation of the Army Act came to light, on which court-martial proceedings were initiated.

DG ISPR said that our accountability process is transparent, it works on evidence and evidence and not on allegations.

The Faiz Hameed case is proof of how seriously the Pakistan Army takes violations committed for personal and political interests and takes action according to the law without discrimination.
