Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong called on Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which both sides discussed Pakistan-China bilateral relations, the regional situation, and matters of mutual interest.
The Chinese Ambassador strongly condemned the suicide attack in Islamabad and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He added that the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also condemned the incident.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in counterterrorism and security.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan-China relations are based on mutual trust and respect. He added that China is a reliable friend that has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times.
The Chinese Ambassador assured that China will continue to extend full cooperation to Pakistan.
