ChatGPT Accuses Husband: Wife Files for Divorce

While artificial intelligence is a useful tool that has made life easier for humans, some of the implications of this technology are also emerging.

Recently, a new and surprising form of it has come to light, which shows that it can also get people divorced.

A strange incident took place in Greece where a woman used artificial intelligence to track down her husband’s alleged affair and then filed for divorce.

According to the Greek City Times, the woman took the help of Chat GPT in a modern form of ‘tessegraphy’. ‘Tessegraphy’ is an ancient method in which the sediment left in a cup of tea or coffee is carefully examined to predict a person’s past, present and future. Meaning is derived from these impressions—think of it as searching for luck in a cup of tea.

The woman took pictures of the marks on her and her husband’s coffee cups and sent them to the chatbot, which she thought was the teacher and herself the student. Then, after listening to what this AI told her, she was amazed!

Married for 12 years and a mother of two, the woman sent the pictures to the bot and had them interpreted, and the AI made a surprising claim: “Your husband is having an affair with a younger woman and your house is about to fall apart.”

The bot even said that her husband’s secret partner is a mysterious woman whose name starts with ‘E’, and she is trying to destroy your house, while your husband is cheating on you in the process.

The woman’s husband, speaking to a local television channel, called all these allegations baseless.

He said that when his wife first said these things, he laughed and thought it was a joke, because such a thing did not exist at all.

But the matter became serious when the wife took the AI’s analysis seriously and said, “Leave me.” She also told the children that her parents were separating, and just three days later, she filed for divorce in court.

The husband added that his wife is weak-willed and easily believes such things.

She had also gone to an astrologer before, and it took her about a year to recover from the effects of his predictions.

The husband’s lawyer maintains that infidelity cannot be proven in any court of law simply on the basis of an artificial intelligence prediction or ‘unseen events’; solid evidence is required.

This unique case has become a topic of discussion not only throughout Greece but also on social media. The public is watching with great interest to see what the outcome of this strange case will be.
