A ceremony was held in connection with the 97th founding day of China’s People’s Liberation Army, in which Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza participated as a special guest.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza congratulated the leadership and ranks of the People’s Liberation Army.
According to ISPR, while addressing the ceremony, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said that the role of the People’s Liberation Army in China’s development and regional peace and stability is commendable.
He said that China and Pakistan have an ideal, brotherly “all-weather friendship”.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza reiterated his determination to further expand bilateral relations and also emphasized his firm commitment to work with China on CPEC, defense cooperation, and regional peace and stability.
A large number of citizens and military officers, journalists, businessmen, and civil society members participated in the special event.
