Car Washing at Home Banned in Punjab
On the orders of the Lahore High Court, the Environment Department has banned washing cars at home in Punjab, and violators will be fined Rs 10,000.
According to the order issued by the Environment Department, a complete ban has also been imposed on washing cars with any type of oil.
Furthermore, Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary Environment Raja Jahangir, and DG Environment Imran Hamid have formed a committee on the orders of the Lahore High Court.
The government has directed service stations across Punjab to install water recycling systems by February 28, failing which a fine of Rs 100,000 will be imposed for violation.
All these restrictions will come into effect immediately under the Punjab Environmental Act.
