Camel Leg Biting Case: Remand Of 6 Accused Extended

The Judicial Magistrate of Nawabshah has extended the remand of 6 accused allegedly involved in cutting the leg of a camel near the Mand Jamrao area of ​​the Sanghar district for another 2 days.

According to the report of Dawn newspaper, on Thursday, the accused were presented before the judge after completing their 4-day remand in police custody.

Investigating Officer Long Khan Sher told reporters that the police investigating the case thoroughly, he said that they had also found two axes from the possession of the suspects, and told the court that 2 accused had already confessed to the crime. However, they could not find any evidence against Ghulam Rasool Shar, the owner of the farm.

The incident took place on June 15, when a landowner allegedly amputated the camel’s right leg as punishment for trespassing on his fields for fodder, police officials said. When contacted, Sommer Bihan, the owner of the injured camel, refused to identify the culprit and press charges against him.

Therefore, the police registered an FIR under Section 429 (killing or maiming cattle) and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against 6 unidentified persons on behalf of the state.

According to the second FIR registered by the police, when the police tried to arrest the six suspects in the Ranto Bridge area near Sanghar on Saturday, they resisted being taken into custody and were assaulted. Attacked.

6 accused have been identified as Rustam Shar, Abid Shar, Jafar Jat, Abdul Shakur Shar, Gul Baig Lashari, and Darya Khan Shar.

Police officials said the FIR was under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to prevent a public servant from performing his duty), 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with a deadly weapon), and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Filed under
