Cable Fault Disrupts Internet
According to an alert issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), internet and broadband users across the country may face difficulties due to a fault in an undersea cable near Qatar.
The PTA said that it had received a report of a fault in the submarine cable ‘AAI-1’.
According to a PTA spokesperson, an alert has been issued regarding a fault in the submarine cable, due to which internet and broadband users across the country may face problems.
The spokesperson said that the cable is one of the 7 cables connecting Pakistan for international internet traffic.
According to a PTA spokesperson, the relevant teams are working to fix the fault, PTA is monitoring the situation.
