According to the Business Confidence Survey 2025 conducted by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), business confidence in Pakistan has reached a seven-year high. The overall Business Confidence Index has risen from 11 to 22 percent, indicating improved economic stability and a more favorable business environment.

OICCI represents over 200 international companies operating across 13 key sectors of Pakistan’s economy. The report highlights that the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and effective government policies have significantly strengthened investor confidence.

The survey shows that the services sector led the improvement with a 24 percent increase, while the retail and manufacturing sectors also recorded positive growth. Business confidence in major cities increased from 14 to 23 percent, and in smaller towns and rural areas, it rose from –3 to 19 percent.

OICCI members also reported an increase in confidence from 17 to 27 percent. The investment index improved from –4 to 12 percent, reflecting a growing trend of investment in the country.

The report further reveals that the index for new orders jumped from 26 to 41 percent, while the index for new jobs recorded a 16 percent increase.

OICCI President Yusuf Husain termed the results a sign of strengthening confidence, stating that business expansion and rising foreign investment are clear indicators of Pakistan’s economic stability and growth.
