British Foreign Secretary Meets PM Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with the British Foreign Secretary, the Honorable David Lammy MP, at the Prime Minister’s House, where bilateral relations, regional security and ceasefire understanding were discussed.
The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s restraint and responsible attitude in the face of India’s unprovoked aggression and baseless allegations, saying that Pakistan has always prioritized peace.
He clarified that Pakistan’s response in exercising its right to self-defense was balanced and limited to specific targets. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is determined to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs, and seeks lasting peace in South Asia.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed his best wishes to His Majesty King Charles Swim of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and expressed satisfaction with the positive relations between the two countries and reiterated his desire to further promote mutual cooperation in all fields.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy congratulated the Prime Minister on the establishment of the ceasefire agreement and said that Britain would continue to play its constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
