Amir Khan, the famous boxer, has left Pakistan after his academy, which cost $1000, was shut down.

Amir Khan, a Pakistani boxer, recently posted a video expressing his disappointment about the lack of support for boxing in Pakistan. He mentioned that there used to be an academy for boxing in the country, but now it has been shut down. Children are messaging him asking for training and classes, but he doesn’t have the resources to help them.

Amir spent over a hundred thousand dollars on a new gym in Islamabad, but it was shut down due to the presence of FC officials on the premises. Amir emphasized that he needed help from the government to vacate the FC officials from the premises of the academy, otherwise, his efforts to support young boxers would be in vain. In 2016, he inaugurated the Boxing Academy near the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad

With a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera. Under the agreement, Amir was responsible for providing coaches and boxing equipment for the academy, while the PSB was supposed to provide necessary support for its efficient operation. However, it seems that the promise was not kept and the academy was shut down, causing a huge loss for Amir and a missed opportunity for young boxers in Pakistan.
