BNP Protests, National Highways Closed

On the central call of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), strong protests were held in Wadh, Nushki and Sorab, as a result of which the Quetta-Karachi and Quetta-Taftan national highways were closed for all types of traffic.

Protest against cases against Sardar Akhtar Mengal and leaders
BNP workers staged protest sit-ins against the registration of false cases against party leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, Sardarzada Gurgin Mengal and other leaders.

The protesters termed this move by the government as an attempt to harass political opponents.

Strong reaction against government policies, announcement to continue the protest
The protest participants said that registering false cases against political leaders is tantamount to suppressing public rights.

BNP leaders expressed their resolve that they will continue to raise their voice against injustices at all levels, and the protest’s scope can be further expanded.

BNP workers’ sit-in in Sorab, leaders’ participation
During the protest sit-in in Sorab, District President Abdul Latif Qalandrani, General Secretary Sultan Imam, Vice President Dr. Abdul Malik and other leaders participated. The protesters staged a complete sit-in on the national highway and suspended traffic.

RCD highway blocked in Noshki, BNP workers protested in full swing
In Noshki, party workers blocked the Quetta-Taftan RCD highway, which severely affected the traffic system. The protesters demanded that the government immediately withdraw the false cases.
