Blast near Islamabad G-11 court complex

  A suicide blast claimed to be carried out by the Fatah-ul-Khawarij, a proxy group of the Afghan Taliban allegedly supported by India, shook the G-11 judicial complex in Islamabad, leaving 12 people dead and several others injured. Initial reports indicate that the explosion occurred outside the court, affecting people standing nearby. According to preliminary reports, 5 people were killed on the spot while 13 to 14 others were injured. The alleged suicide bomber’s head was found on the road. Following the blast, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital declared an emergency, and the injured were immediately transported to the hospital via Rescue 1122, ambulances, and police vehicles. A heavy police contingent and forensic team arrived at the scene. Police sources stated that the suicide attacker tried to enter the court but, failing to do so, detonated explosives near a police vehicle. Among the injured are 3 police personnel. According to sources, 9 bodies and 21 injured individuals have been shifted to PIMS Hospital.

What Really Happened Near Islamabad G-11 Court?

Eyewitnesses reported that the sound of the explosion was heard from a considerable distance, and the vehicle was severely damaged.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot immediately, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation. Officials said evidence is being collected to determine the exact nature of the blast.
