Big News For Small Businesses! Prime Minister’s Big Announcement

A meeting of the Steering Committee of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif,

in which important decisions were taken for the promotion of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Decision to include micro enterprises in the SME sector
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the meeting approved the inclusion of micro enterprises in the SME sector.

A comprehensive policy is being formulated in this regard so that small businesses can be further promoted.

Instructions to recruit skilled manpower in SMEDA
The Prime Minister directed to recruit skilled manpower of international standard from the market in SMEDA, so that the institution is in line with modern requirements.

He emphasized that such a workforce should be recruited under a transparent procedure whose salary is in line with market rates.

Development of rural economy and interest-free loan program for women
The Prime Minister said during the meeting that SMEDA has an important role in improving the rural economy, so a plan of action should be made to benefit the entire rural population, including women, from the interest-free loan program.

Steps to promote exports in the SME sector
The meeting was briefed that SMEDA is working with the Ministry of Commerce to increase exports, and preparations are being made to launch an export assistance program.

Directives for the integration of training institutions at the federal level
The Prime Minister ordered to bring all federal institutions of vocational training under one umbrella, so that the youth can be skilled and provided with employment opportunities.

Federal ministers, aides to the Prime Minister, and other high-ranking officials attended the meeting, while members of the National Assembly Nosheen Iftikhar and Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha attended the meeting through video link.

Murtaza Javed Abbasi meets Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, discusses development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: Murtaza Javed Abbasi, General Secretary of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in which the development of the province and public welfare projects were discussed.

The Prime Minister said on this occasion that the federal government will continue to provide all possible support for the betterment of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is committed to the development of the province. He added that development projects will be completed expeditiously for the service and convenience of the people.

Murtaza Javed Abbasi invited the Prime Minister to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and requested him to lay the foundation stone of another interchange on the Hazara Motorway for the convenience of the citizens of Abbottabad and its surroundings. The Prime Minister responded positively to this proposal and assured more development projects in the province.

Special Assistant Huzaifa Rehman meets Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, congratulates him on joining the cabinet

Islamabad: Special Assistant Huzaifa Rehman met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in which they discussed national affairs and public welfare.

The Prime Minister congratulated Huzaifa Rehman on joining the federal cabinet and expressed his best wishes for her. He said that youth are the valuable asset of the country, and the inclusion of talented youth in the government will further enhance the capacity of governance.

Huzaifa Rehman thanked the Prime Minister for his trust and paid tribute to him for the recent economic stability. He vowed that he would discharge his responsibilities in the spirit of public service and live up to the Prime Minister’s trust.
