Belarus Defense Minister Meets Pakistan’s Defense Secretary
The Defense Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrynan, met with Defense Secretary, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali (Retd).
According to the spokesperson, the meeting discussed in detail strengthening defense and security cooperation between the two countries.
Particular emphasis was placed on the areas of operations, counter-terrorism, and training of soldiers.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to promoting bilateral defense cooperation and also discussed increasing cooperation in the defense industry.
The Belarusian delegation appreciated Pakistan’s role in the UN peacekeeping mission, and both countries expressed their willingness to benefit from each other’s experiences.
Opening a direct air route between Islamabad and Minsk was also discussed, which aims to promote people-to-people contacts, diplomatic relations, and bilateral trade and economic opportunities.
According to the spokesperson, both countries expressed satisfaction with the rapid growth of defense relations and agreed to continue regular discussions.
