The budget of Balochistan for the next financial year will be presented in the provincial assembly today, the total budget has been set at 850 billion rupees.
Balochistan Finance Minister Shoaib Naushirani will present the budget for the next fiscal year 2024-25 in the provincial assembly after the cabinet’s approval at 4 o’clock today. In the budget, it is proposed to keep 600 billion rupees for non-development expenditure and 200 billion rupees for development expenditure.
According to the sources of the finance department, the budget of the new fiscal of Balochistan will be surplus.
In the budget, employees’ salaries and pensions will be increased on the federal pattern, while more than 3 thousand jobs will be given in the province. The province is expected to earn up to 850 billion rupees in distributable revenue and other assistance. It also includes sixty billion rupees received in the form of Sui gas field lease extension grant dues.
In the budget for the next financial year, it is proposed to keep 120 billion rupees for the education department, 100 billion rupees for the health department, 85 billion rupees for the pension of retired employees, and 70 billion rupees for law and order. Similarly, local council grants are increasing from 18 billion to 35 billion rupees. In the budget 2024-25, 3 thousand posts will also be given.
In which there will be 750 police and 250 Levies vacancies. It is proposed to increase the salary of employees from grade 1 to 16 by 25%, while the salary of employees from grade 17 to 22 by 20% and the pension of retired employees by 15%.
Two billion rupees have been set aside to bring it back. In the new budget, it has also been proposed to build a modern hospital in Nasirabad and burn centers in 15 districts of the province and hand over five major hospitals of the province, including the cancer hospital, to Indus Hospital.
