At Karachi Airport, Numerous Domestic and International Flights Were Cancelled

Due to the city’s weather, at least 46 flights to and from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi have been delayed.

Jinnah International Airport in Karachi saw a number of local and international aircraft cancellations.

In addition to PK-503 from Karachi to Gwadar being shelved, PIA flight PK-2010 from Karachi to Dubai has been cancelled.

Serene Air flight ER-502 from Karachi to Islamabad was also postponed, and AirSial flight PF-143 from Karachi to Lahore was cancelled.

Along with AirBlue flight PA-200 from Karachi to Islamabad, SereneAir flight ER-504 from Karachi to that city has also been cancelled.

SereneAir flight ER-522 from Karachi to Lahore was also cancelled, as was PIA aircraft PK-306 from Karachi to Lahore.As many as 46 flights were cancelled, according to sources inside the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), because to gloomy weather, sporadic rainfall, and other various factors.

“In addition to international flights to Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh, domestic flights from Karachi to Skardu, Lahore, Gwadar, Sukkur, Turbat, Peshawar, Multan, and Islamabad were cancelled,” the statement read.

At least ten flights at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi were cancelled on Sunday, and eight more had to be delayed as a result of severe weather and persistent, heavy downpours around the port city.

Five PIA flights—PK-306, PK-370, PK-341, and PK-349—that were supposed to depart from the city have been delayed, according to a CAA representative.

Due to the severe weather, a number of other flights from Karachi airport that were headed overseas were either cancelled or delayed.

Furthermore, the CAA spokesperson stated that all scheduled domestic and international flights from Karachi had been cancelled.

In unrelated news, Transport Canada’s security team wrapped up their inspection of Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday. According to the Airport Security Force (ASF), the team carefully reviewed the airport’s security procedures and found them to be adequate.

The ASF team, which included National Inspectors, gave the Transport Canada delegation a thorough briefing during the audit. They addressed emergency response techniques, screening processes, entry control, security deployment, and pass issuing.
