Karachi: Pakistan’s Olympian Arshad Nadeem, who created history in the Paris Olympics, was awarded the gold medal in the javelin throw competition.
In a colorful ceremony at the Athletics Stadium in Paris, Arshad Nadeem was awarded the gold medal,, and his rival athletes were awarded bronze and silver medals.
India’s Neeraj Chopra won the silver and Grenada’s Anderson Peters the bronze in the javelin throw event.
Pakistan Olympic Association Secretary Khalid Mehmood said that Arshad Nadeem has made the nation proud.

It should be noted that Olympian Arshad Nadeem won a gold medal for Pakistan after 40 years in the Olympics, he became the first Pakistani to win a gold medal in individual events.
Olympian Arshad Nadeem also set a new Olympic record in the javelin by throwing a distance of 92.97 meters.
