The National Assembly of Pakistan has announced the opening of applications for its prestigious Parliamentary Internship Program – Summer Batch 2025. This six-week internship offers an invaluable opportunity for students and young graduates to gain firsthand experience in the workings of Pakistan’s highest legislative body, contributing to the enhancement of democratic awareness among youth.
Aligned with the National Assembly Strategic Plan (NASP), which focuses on engaging citizens, particularly students, in the parliamentary process, the program invites eligible candidates to apply and gain insights into legislative procedures, public policy, and democratic norms.
Program Overview
This internship offers participants a unique opportunity to understand and engage in the legislative processes, providing direct involvement in the daily workings of the National Assembly. Interns will gain exposure to parliamentary research, legislation, and governance, ensuring a well-rounded experience.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Completion of at least 14 years of education from a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized institution

Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate program (after completing 4 semesters) or in a Master’s program in any of the following disciplines:

Law, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration

Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Statistics

Human Resources, Agriculture

Media Sciences / Mass Communication

Information Systems & Technology

Social Sciences or any equivalent 16-year education

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 60% marks in percentage system

Minimum 2.5 CGPA (out of 4.0) in GPA system

Maximum Age Limit: 30 years

Applicants from far-flung regions, including Balochistan, Sindh, Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, erstwhile FATA, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, are especially encouraged to apply.
