AI-Generated Soldier Hoax Exposed! Viral Video Was Fake
A video went viral on social media on March 16, in which a self-styled soldier claimed to have killed 12 civilians on the orders of his officers and left the army after witnessing state atrocities.
The video was circulated by the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement and separatist elements, claiming that he was killed after the revelations.
However, investigation and forensic analysis revealed that the video was created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and the person in the video was not real.
The video was later sensationalized and spread by disinformation networks to incite hatred against state institutions.
The propaganda campaign also used a distorted image of an injured policeman. The original image showed him in police uniform, but the hat was cut off to erase his identity so that he could be linked to the army.
This fake content was another attempt to spread mistrust among the public and incite anti-state sentiment, carried out through fake news generated by artificial intelligence.
