Saudi Minister Adel Al-Jubeir Arrives in Pakistan to Ease India-Pakistan Tensions
ISLAMABAD: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir has arrived in Islamabad on a one-day visit,where he will hold important meetings to ease the recent tensions between Pakistan and India.
Before leaving for Pakistan, Adel Al-Jubeir visited India and met Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar there.
The aim of this diplomatic effort is to reduce the ongoing tensions between the two neighboring countries and promote peace and stability in the region.
During his visit to Pakistan, Adel Al-Jubeir will hold important meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in which the current situation, border tensions, and possible diplomatic solutions will be discussed.
Earlier, a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed serious concern over the border clashes and firing between Pakistan and India.
The statement urged both countries to exercise restraint, reduce tension,s and resolve their differences through dialogue and diplomacy.
Saudi Arabia has emphasized the need to prioritize peace in the region, respect for the principles of good neighborliness, and the protection of public interests.
