Actress Humaira Asghar Dies Alone in Karachi Apartment
KARACHI: Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in DHA Phase VI, Karachi, on Tuesday, according to police officials. Her body has since been moved to the morgue for further inspection
Police stated that the 35-year-old actress had been living alone in the flat located in the Ittehad Commercial Area for the past seven years. However, she had reportedly not paid rent since 2024, prompting the apartment’s owner to file a legal case against her.
A court-appointed bailiff discovered the decomposed body while executing a court order at the apartment. The door was found locked from the inside, raising further questions about the circumstances of her death.
Law enforcement authorities confirmed that Humaira Asghar’s family has been contacted, but as of yet, no relatives have come forward to claim the body.
The exact cause of death remains unknown and will be determined following a chemical examination report, police said. Investigators are currently exploring the case from multiple angles.
Humaira Asghar was known for her work in Pakistani television and had previously participated in ARY Digital’s reality show “Tamasha Ghar” in 2022.
