Abu Dhabi Ports To Invest $250 Million In Karachi Port

Abu Dhabi Ports Pakistan will invest 250 million dollars in Karachi Port in the next 10 years.

This was said by the delegation of Abu Dhabi Ports Pakistan under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Khurram Aziz Khan in a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

During the meeting, he was told that the modern multi-purpose terminal equipped with all the necessary facilities will be completed in the next two years and thirteen million dollars will be invested in this project.

The terminal project includes the construction of access control, automatic gates, berth extension up to two meters, crane rail track, and other structural works.

With the construction of the new structure at the terminal, freighter ships of up to 120,000 tons will be able to anchor.

The Prime Minister said that the purpose of the agreement with Abu Dhabi Ports is to increase the transparency, functionality, and efficiency of the port.

He said that the transportation of goods and containers at the port will be improved with digital technology and modern machinery.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the time required for clearance can be reduced by improving the container system at the ports.

The Prime Minister has also directed the railway authorities to provide goods brother bogies and necessary equipment to enable the project and to lift the goods from the terminal.
