A Golden Opportunity for Pakistani Students in Modern Agricultural Training In China

1,000 Pakistani Students will send to Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base for Training

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who is in China on five day visit, has decided to send 1,000 students from Pakistan to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in China for modern agricultural training.

In this regard, the Prime Minister has instructed the Pakistani Ambassador to China and other relevant officials to finalize the project with Chinese authorities.

The Prime Minister has also invited the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University to open a campus in Pakistan, assuring all necessary support from the Government of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in Xi’an, where he was shown various sections of the base and the Pakistani Pavilion. Various Pakistani products were also displayed in the pavilion.

The Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base collaborates with 26 countries in agricultural research, and Pakistan was the first country to initiate cooperation with this base. During the briefing, information about Pakistani scientists and the universities participating in the research was provided.

The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan is an agricultural country and the government is striving to innovate in agriculture to increase per acre yield. Enhancing the export of Pakistani agricultural products and their processing is a top priority of the government.

He was also given a tour of the modern plant production factory, where different stages of vertical farming were demonstrated. Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Dr. Musadik Malik, and Rana Tanveer Hussain accompanied the Prime Minister on this visit.
