WhatsApp is constantly working on many new and exciting features so that users do not have to switch to other services. For this purpose, WhatsApp introduced a chat filter feature for users in April 2024.
Under this feature, 3 chat filters are available to users in WhatsApp namely All, Unread (unread) & Groups. Now this feature is being further improved by the Meta-owned messaging app. WABetaInfo reports. A favorite chat filter is being added to the messaging app.
This new feature is being tested in the Android beta (beta) version of WhatsApp.
This feature will be helpful for users who receive multiple messages daily and find it difficult to track messages from favorite contacts.
Pin chat is also a solution but only limited chats can be pinned under it.
The Favorites filter will help users quickly access messages from important contacts and groups but requires them to add the contacts to the Favorites list. For this one has to go to add to favorites option.
Right now this feature is available in beta version so it is hard to say when it can be rolled out to users.
It should be noted that the option of 3 chat filters available at the moment is also not available to all users at present but they are also being introduced gradually.
These three chat filters are also quite helpful for the users.
Clicking All shows all your chats on the Home feed.
If you select Unread, only the chats that you have not read are visible, while clicking on the group filter allows you to see only the group chats.
