There Can Be No Compromise With Those Of May 9: Army Chief

On Thursday, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited Lahore Garrison where he addressed the soldiers and officers. He strongly condemned the heinous acts of May 9 in Pakistan. According to General Syed Asim Munir, that day will be remembered as a dark day in the history of Pakistan. Miscreants have deliberately targeted the memorials of our martyrs and attacked the symbols of our state and national unity. These violent and unacceptable actions have given Pakistan’s enemies an opportunity to make a mockery of our nation and state. Conspiratorial elements are now trying to implicate the state by twisting the narrative. General Syed Asim Munir asserted that in our history there can be no compromise or deal with such black chapter perpetrators, they are trying to involve the state through manipulation, those responsible for the black chapter. There can be no compromise or deal. The army chief said that some people are unable to understand the nefarious motives of the criminals, as they indulge their desires, but the Supreme Court’s directives have given some people the benefit of the doubt. The real masterminds of this dastardly conspiracy appear to be innocent, and now they will be held accountable for their crimes, especially when there is clear evidence of their complicity, without the benefit of the victims, their families or the institution. Honoring will not be allowed. The army chief said that the planners, facilitators and criminals of May 9 will be brought to justice according to law. The Army Chief has stressed that not responding to provocations should not be considered weakness and our patience is not unlimited. He has said that the enemy forces along with their supporters are involved in digital terrorism through lies, fake news and propaganda. Their aim is to create a rift between the forces of Pakistan and the people. However, with the support of the entire nation, the ambitions of these forces will be thwarted. The Army Chief praised the soldiers and officers of the Pakistan Army for their dedication to their duties and responsibilities and for making sacrifices every day. ISPR reported that the Army Chief was given a comprehensive briefing on the operational readiness of the formation and appreciated the professionalism of the officers and men and their service to the nation.
