Pakistan defeated Australia
Pakistan defeated Australia by 9 wickets in the second ODI to level the three-match ODI series 1-1.
Chasing a target of 164 runs for the Kangaroos in the match being played in Adelaide, national team openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq gave Pakistan a 137-run start.
Saim Ayub played an aggressive innings of 82 runs, which included 6 sixes and 5 fours. Abdullah Shafiq scored 64 and Babar Azam was not out on 15 runs.
The only wicket for Australia came from Adam Zampa.
Batting first, the Australian team was all out for 163 runs in 35 overs. The openers tried to play an aggressive game, but on a total score of 21, Jack Fraser-McGurk fell victim to Shaheen for 13 runs.
Matthew Short also returned to the pavilion after scoring 19 runs.
Australian batsmen Josh Ingles 18 and Marnus Labuschagne 6, Steve Smith 35, Aaron Hardy 13, Glenn Maxwell 16, Pat Cummins 13, Adam Zampa 18, and Mitchell Starc were the guests of one run.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took 5, Shaheen Afridi 3, while Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah took one wicket each.
Earlier, national team captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to field first against Australia. He said that he would try to win the match and level the series.
Mohammad Rizwan said that no changes have been made to the team, he wants to give the players a chance.
On this occasion, Australian team captain Pat Cummins said that he wants to ensure victory in the series with victory in the match, he said that one change has been made in the playing eleven, Josh Hazlewood has returned in place of Shaun Abbott.
