Chasing the target of 36 runs given by England in the match played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan’s Saeem Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq scored an innings, but at a total score of 14, Saeem Ayub was bowled lbw by Jack Leach.
After Saim’s dismissal, Shaan Masood came to the wicket and hit 3 fours in 3 balls and then the national team captain hit a six and played the winning short.
On the third day of the Pindi Test, England started their second innings with 24 runs for 3 wickets, while Jo Root (5) and Harry Brooke (3) were on the wicket with 3 runs.
But Nouman Ali first dismissed Harry Brooke for an individual score of 26 and then sent skipper Ben Stokes to the pavilion for 3 runs.
England’s sixth wicket fell for 75 runs, and Jamie Smith scored 3 runs before being dismissed by Sajid Khan. England’s seventh wicket fell for 85 runs, and Nauman Ali took the route for 33.
Gus Atkinson fell victim to Sajid Khan on a total of 97, while England’s ninth wicket fell on 106 runs, Rehan Ahmed scored 7 runs and was dismissed by Sajid Khan. England’s last out was Jack Leach who scored 10 runs and fell victim to Nouman Ali.
It should be remembered that the England team had scored 267 runs in the first innings against Pakistan, in response to which Pakistan scored 344 runs in the first innings and gained a lead of 77 runs.
The series of three Test matches is tied one by one, in the first Test, England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs, while in the second Test, Pakistan defeated England by 156 runs.
