A high-level delegation led by Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih arrived in Islamabad.
Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih has arrived in Islamabad on a three-day visit. The delegation includes representatives of Saudi Arabia’s construction, engineering, information technology, agriculture, food, and petroleum companies.
During the three-day visit, 2 billion dollars of investment agreements from Saudi Arabia are likely to be finalized. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will host a dinner in honor of the Saudi delegation on Thursday.
With the Saudi delegation, there will be a plenary, sectoral breakout, and business-to-business sessions in which people from different sectors will participate.
On October 11, the Saudi delegation will visit the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park and meet with military officials. The Pakistani and Saudi delegations will also hold round-table meetings at the ministerial level.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that bilateral trade was discussed during the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Pakistan, while the delegation of Saudi Arabia is also coming to Pakistan, and there will be contracts worth more than 2 billion dollars.
It should be noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 1. High-level delegations from other countries,s including Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar will participate.
